The route planning feature is currently disabled.
When launched this will undoubtedly be our most popular feature! You'll be able to use a map to navigate to the area you're interested in, and by just clicking on waypoints the route will be automatically calculated! Even height gain and a walking height profile are calculated. All you then need to do is add the route descriptions, and you're ready to print or share with your friends on the site.
We hope to create the most extensive - and free - walking route library on the Internet.
In the future we hope to extend this to other sports, such as canoeing and kayaking and climbing routes. Let us know if you have any ideas by visiting the forums.
You can Sign Up! and we'll tell you when this feature launches.
You can create, save and share routes with your friends, or make them generally available to all ActionFinder.co.uk users.

Creating a new route is easy. Just use the map to click on each waypoint. Distance, location, and height gain are calculated automatically. Once you've added some points you can mark them as a single leg.
Summary information of total distance, height gain, and time are calculated. The gradient and legs are shown graphically on the map, making the route easy to follow.
Complete your route description by adding leg guiding notes, a route title, and description. Optionally share it with other ActionFinder.co.uk users.
